Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP)
The Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP) is a program from the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) that helps customers save money on their electricity bills. The Ontario Native Welfare Administrators Association (ONWAA) has been contracted by the OEB to administer the program for your community. Once you have received your first electricity bill from Hydro One Remotes, you are to apply. If you are eligible, this program puts a credit on your monthly bill anywhere from $35 up to $113 depending on your income! Eligibility is determined by heating source of your home, at-home medical devices, and how many people are living in your house.
Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP)
Have you fallen behind and are at risk of disconnection? You may be eligible for a grant of up to $780 each year to help avoid service disconnection.
