Kingfisher Lake First Nation
Kingfisher Lake First Nation is a member of the Wataynikaneyap Transmission Project and was grid connected in November 2022. Remotes distributes electricity within the community for the over 560 (2022) on-reserve residents of the remote, fly-in, Oji-Cree speaking community located in Northern Ontario on beautiful Kingfisher Lake. Remotes also maintains and operates the Kingfisher Lake Diesel Generating Station (DGS) for use during transmission system outages. The DGS has three generators ranging from 455-1045 kW.
